Ananda Yoga Therapy: Denver’s first exclusive Yoga & Ayurveda Therapy Studio.  This boutique studio offers small group  yoga classes, along with a full range of workshops ,individualized programs & treatments designed to promote health and wellness for the entire mind-body-spirit.

The studio is designed to help you purify the mind/body system of toxins through the use of Individualized Yoga Therapy Programs, Ayurvedic Treatments, Pancha Karma, Asana Classes, Educational Workshops, Meditation, Chanting, and other practices.

Once you have purified the mind/body system we will help you to rejuvenate through Ayurvedic Rasayana, Ayurvedic Treatments (Shirodhara), and Deep Relaxation (Yoga Nidra, Guided Meditation) and Biofeedback.

What is Yoga Therapy?

While there is no one definition, the following was arrived at by the IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) Board the summer of 2010. This is not the final definition as they are still working through feedback from Yoga Therapists around the world.

Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the philosophy and practice of Yoga.

Ananda Yoga Therapy uses the application of the philosophy and practice of the eight limbs of Yoga, Ayurveda and other mind-body tools to bring balance to the entire mind, body, spirit system of consciousness.

Yoga Therapy is a tool used to transcend the old patterns and re-channel that blocked energy into a more useful direction. Just as our being consists of energy on many levels (the body, mind, emotions, the spirit, and beyond), we also hold stresses and heal on many levels.

Some individuals may only be interested in — or may only notice — healing on the physical level. However, as tensions in the body are released and the mind is calmed and directed inward, one naturally feels more freedom to move into deeper layers of emotional and spiritual energy to a deeper understanding of one’s true self.
